I was watching Midas Blenny videos on youtube, and I am liking him so much. Do you know if he pick algae on rocks just like Lawn Mower Blenny? I am trying to find a combination of great look and good functionality.

It's considered an omnivore, but I think it's more a carnivore. I have not seen mines nibble on algae throughout the tank, but it will nibble on some Nori when provided.

so only Lawn mower blenny that provide a bit help in eliminating algae in tank? I don't like their look. Is there another blenny that looks good and also function the same as lawn mower blenny?

Most blennies are herbivores I believe. The midas just happens to be an exception.

Tailspot blennies are cute. They're very small but will feed on algae.

Nope! It's a purple masked angelfish (Paracentropyge venusta). Beautiful and rare, but unfortunately difficult to keep longterm and often suffers from swim bladder issues due to collection methods.

Not a fish I would recommend to just anyone and it should be kept in a 75+ gallon aquarium in my opinion.

After waiting for months I got a call from my LFS last night they got one in for me. I picked him up this morning and he's currently acclimating to the QT. I love their personalities and I'm so exciting to finally got one. He's the African Midas Blenny and big one too!

hmm really? different than lawn mover huh? Can lawn mover blenny and midas blenny be in one 40 gallons tank?
I had a bicolor & lawnmower in my 66g, never any issues between the two. I think you have enough live rock so they can hide they'll be ok.

Here's my blue and gold Midas Blenny. I've seen him picking at the hair algae growing on the back of my tank.

Great fish - tons of personality.
