midnight clown

anyone ever heard of a midnight clown? its all black with just a hint of orange on the face. my lfs has a set and they want 80 a piece

Thats a fair price for those. They were release by ORA about 6 months ago for around 100-120 a fish.
How much orange left on thier faces? I'm not sure if the Midnights will completely fill in or not so you may not be able to use that to judge it's age.

The orange will probably go away when they get older like normal B&W clowns.

$80 is a great price for one. Like lazytaper said they are $250 for a pair on DD. You shoul buy it and mate it with a Snowflake. That would look cool.

cool good to know that 1. the "midnight clown" does actually exist and the lfs isnt screwing anyone. and 2. that its surprising a good deal.

Rediculous. Ours at the store are $90 a piece and we do have an older pair that has lost all orange on their faces.

Those are lovely clowns. I used to want a pair but I didn't like the fact that the orange tips will most likely turn to black.

Only ora fish we really care for is the Midnight and Domino (which we have) But if the face didnt turn all black then you would have to call it a "sunrise" or "sunset" clown, lol. But at 80.00 each that is a fair price. We got our Domino for 125.00 only because Dominos with a true single round spot are harder to find than one with more of a line type mark.
