Might be moving to TN! Should I try to keep my livestock or sell?

I have a 90gal reef which is about 6 months old and is doing REALLY well. I have never moved a tank at all and the thought of moving everything to Tennessee is a little daunting! Should I just sell my livestock and live rock off and start over or is it possible to move everything successfully? Here's a pic as it is today:

Unless you have something you really cannot part with, I would sell it all and restart after you are settled.

I concur a tree and a half hour move from KC to Des Moines and I only tried to save a few items in a 20 gallon from a 140 and I have exactly NOTHING left from that move up here ....... nothing survived except some pink star polyps which I traded away to Janey.....

It is definitely possible but would be difficult unless you have it planned out really well and have the tanks spot ready to go.
I would say you could keep your live rock though. If you can't get the tank up right away put it in a large rubbermaid or something like it and drop the skimmer in there to keep things fresh. You might not be able to find rock locally when your ready or if you buy off the net it will need to be cured most likely anyway. It would be one less thing you have to buy again!

If you can get a temp tank set up and going before you move & have someone you can trust it can be done. Overnight all the livestock & rubbermaid the lR

I just got done moving my 25 gallon and if i had to do it all again i would definetly sell all my stuff. But then again, you dont really have all that much livestock to re-setup. It is pretty easy to move everything in rubbermaids, you can even re-use most of your water.

Just my 0.02.

What I have considered when thinking of moving was to make a deal with the LFS to hold my livestock in a tank and once I was able to move and get things running, have the LFS FedEx the stuf to me. I save the hassle about worrying about each mile of the move, and still you can get insurance on the shipping pcs. once you have a viable tank running.
Something else to consider. Although, you still need to get your tanks running in a pretty short period of time.

Shipping was a good idea, but you have to be certified to have FedEx or UPS insurance cover live items. Trust me it is not cheap or easy to get certified either.

I would sell everything live. I've literally lost thousands from moving just short distances. it may be possible if you already have an established tank where you're moving too. but if not then don't risk it. Let the little guys live.
