Might need a new home for my Jawfish.

Hey All,

I might need to get rid of my newly added yellowhead jawfish. I added him on Saturday, and yesterday he was being bullyed by my two clowns, and had to do a rescue. He was in real bad shape last night, his tale was pretty messed up and i gave him a 10% survival rate, i made a temporary home for him in a water bottle with holes drilled in it, to keep him safe from other fish. To my suprise before i left for work this morning he was doing really well. More can be read here .

Anyways, im gonna try and leave him in his little isolation tank for now and try adding him in a couple of days, but if the same thing happens, he may need a new home. I just wanted to see if anyone here might have a home for him. My wife's like, "I guess youll just have to get a nano now", but i gotta save up for Halides and a house, so i just cant afford that right now.

Hey everyone,

first i would like to thank Linda C. and Robin (Tizme) for theyre offers. Well my wife came home for lunch and called me at work, my makeshift isolation tank fell down and he got out. She said that the clowns were chasing him but then he hid under my biggest peice of baserock. Should i try and get him out? leave him be? I heard that once they get theyre borrow going they should be fine, is this true? He seams like hes got a borrow going, but not sure if he will fall prey if he tries to leave. I had my clowns since i established my tank, over a year ago, the female is getting pretty big and maybe they are being so aggressive because she is carrying, just a thought. Any advice will be appreciated.

actually he is doing quite well. I was able to catch him yesterday morning before work and put him back into isolation. And last night i ordered a 12 Gallon Aquapod from Pet Solutions (thank you Powder Blue for all your help), This 20 dollar fish turned into a 200 dollar fish really quickly. I always wanted a nano anyway, so now i have one, guess ill just have to hold off on my Metal Halides for now. Once again, thank you for offering to take him in, if i didnt bite the bullet and get the nano i would have definatly given him up.

Now, with the nano, he will be the first fish added. If i were to eventually get a baby Onyx clown, do you think they will be okay with each other?

Sad news to report, and today was supposed to be a happy day because my nano is arriving today. Just got home from work to find his little shelter empty. He managed to jump out of the shelter throught the eggcrate, avoiding the small net i had over the area missing the tank and onto the carpet. :( . Even more depressing since i spent over 200 bucks to save his life. Guess i will have to find something else to take his place.

You should be safe. We ordered ours back in Ummmm Jan. i think

It's an 06 model with a serial #

We are very happy with it.

The DOB and serial # are on the bottom of the hood near the back left corner. ;)

Ouch !!!

I had a diamond goby jump ship 2 months ago.. I was bummed myself... What can you do though... :(
 
Yeah that does bum one out:( Sorry to hear. Well, now you'll have some extra time to get it setup the way you want and fully cycled. Those Pods have some serious potential. They look great when stocked. Some day we'll post some updated pics!

Ours is looking much, much better then before. Things are growing in nicely.
 
Lakeside, Have you done any mods? The fans are pretty loud, i heard you could change those out, also did you upgrade to a MJ900?
