Might Putty is what people use to bond LR together, right? When you use it you just follow the directions stick two rocks together and submerge em? Or do I need to do anything special first?

Thanks in advance guys,
Steven

mighty putty is fine...your skimmer will foam like crazy just do a water change when you are done and watch you skimmer to make sure no overflow.

Is that whats up with my skimmer? I was wondering about that, I cleaned it and it seems to be working right now.
I made sure to pick up the little chunks that fell off and i planned on doin a WC tomorrow too. It seems to be doing good though, hardened up and looks like its holding.
I like rons too, I saw it a while back and it looks nice, thats where i got the idea actually.

Aquamend is available at Home Deport for about $4 per tube. Look in the glue/epoxy area.

I don't know anything about Mighty Putty. It looks like Aquamend, but can't guarantee they are the same thing. Price seems comparable to Aquamend.

I've started attaching more things with aquamend, since it seems to hold much better than superglue. Rock to rock and plug to rock. It seems like superglue is better for attaching corals to plugs or rocks.

IMO - superglue is too brittle. They are not very good at gluing two rocks together. They are good for gluing frags to plugs.

In our shop for epoxy we use the D-D AquaScape 2 part. Of all the 2 parts we have tried both from AQ shops and hardware stores it works the best for sticking rock to rock or coral to rock. It is stickier than all the others especially if you mix it and put it in real hot water to milk it before you stick 2 rocks together.

For small frags to plugs we use Boston Aqua Farms colored reef glue with accelerator. For larger frags to plug or rock we use the Boston Aqua Farms gel in tube without accelerator if the frags are top heavy. The gel and glue seem to hold better on aragonite plugs or rock. The glue tends to break off the ceramic plugs very easily.
