Final Product

Final Product

The stand and canopy is finally done. The doors were put on today. It came out really nice. These pictures make the stain look a little lighter than it is. Anyways, here are some pictures.

It will be shipped out on the 20th of this month. We hope to get it to Houston in early May.

crated it will weigh 600lbs. The canopy weighs almost 100lbs, and the stand about 200-250lbs. shipping isnt as expensive as you think it would be, atleast it was alot cheaper than I was expecting. I thought it was going to cost more than the entire stand and canopy!

The stain looks lighter cuz the pictures were takin on a sunny day with no flash.

Definitely tagging along. Will you have a tank room in your new house or will you have to keep it all under the stand? Welcome to Montgomery County whenever you get there!

time for an update

time for an update

The tank is being built this week!! Here is a picture of the back glass with the notches for the overflows. They are waiting to get it back from tempering, then they can start putting the tank together piece by piece. More to come!

Looking forward to hearing from you. I can start another one any time. :D
This one will be crated up tomorrow night and shipped off to its new home on Thursday!

I am in the home extension phase right now. I am planning a 670 gal Tenecor tank that will be through the wall. 2 feet of the tank will be in the display room and the rear 2 feet will be in the garage. So it will be tricky, but I can support the tank and you could do cosmetic cabinetry to fit over the face. I want to incorporate a wine display on each side of the tank also. Is this too much to ask being you wont be able to come to the home?

Mike I don't want to hijack, sorry. I will start a tread when my extension is done.

Vic

its cool if you hijack. this thread is also for others to ask me and sean questions, show off seans work, and of course show off my new tank! :)

im sure he would be glad to take on any project. nothing is impossible to him ;)

Well,.......I, uh,....:worried: don't do 'round' :sad2:
Sorry to say that I just haven't mastered the half round or anything with a true curve to the front, like what's need for bow front tanks.
If its square or angled, no problem. :D
Thanks for the vote of confidence Mike.

A bow front stand would be pretty tough to do. I bet you could build one though! Can't wait to see the crate Sean!

thanks for all the comments guys! hopefully, it will be as nice as it is in person. sean sent me some pictures of the stand last night before he crates it today. hopefully the shipping company is gentle!

Mike- I will PM you tracking information now.
Make sure you have at least 3, preferably 4 guys on hand to help you move this crate. It was heavier than I thought, but 3 of us were able to lift it into the back of the truck one end at a time. You'll have a lift gate to get it off the truck on your end, but you'll want help to move it to the house.

Sean,

We will have about 3 or 4 guys, and a few ladies that 'think' they are going to help! lol.
