Mike's 300 Double-D

hope and pray that everthing is ok for you guys
you guys have been through so much it can only get better from here.

I feel ya I'm right here too!

You guys got hit way harder than we did. Hope everything is OK for you guys, Giga. How's that tank of yours doing?

stunning tank!

Thanks Derrik. Too bad about Mike Quade today...his emotions must've gotten the best of him with the bad streak with Milwaukee.

Hang in there Mike!!!!!!!!!!!!! :uhoh2:

Thanks Brett! We're making the best of it. We're thankful for generators.

uggh! so much rain in VA right now!

Nick, are you guys OK down there? There was a lot of worries about the flood surge coming in a high tide last night!!

hope and pray that everthing is ok for you guys you guys have been through so much it can only get better from here.

You two doing alright? Just checking in on ya.

Thanks fellas. We are doing OK. Lots of shakin' going on last night, that was for sure. We had several large branches fall harmlessly into the back yard. No major damage at our place. There have been at least four deaths and many injuries across the state, so we feel very fortunate. The power utility underestimated the impact of the storm here - that is certain. At one point last night, nearly 80% (over 1.2 million) of their customers were without electricity. We are still running on our generator as of right now, and no ETA on utility restoration. It could be much worse; we have natural gas to cook with and heat water, and our water/sewer are working. Many have none of those essentials. Sure hope the juice comes back on soon though... :crazy1:

Still No Power

Still No Power

Just wanted to post a quick update. We're still running on the generator as the power is still out (53 hours and counting).

The MH lights had not run since Friday, so we decided to run them one at a time tonight to get some much needed light on the reef. So far everything is fine. The last update from the power company said they would have power restored to 75% of it's customers by Wednesday and 90-95% by Friday. We can only hope that ours is sooner rather than later.

Hang in there I was going crazy without power for 18 hours I could only imagine what you are going through

Thank god for generators, one of mans greatest inventions for the reefers and awesome tank btw

Thanks jzdad! Our power was restored late Monday night and I can't agree with you more regarding generators.

Thought we'd share a pic we took of the DT tonight:

Mike - the tank is looking great and love the new sump system. Glad to hear you survived the storm. Last month we had some straight line winds take 5 huge trees out in our yard but miraculously nothing hit the house!! Scary stuff

Tank looks great. Glad you guys made it through the storm ok. In 04 we got killed in vero beach and we had no power for over a month! I was checking the weather and i guess we've got a few more coming our way. Ugh.

Thanks Chris! Those straight line winds can be brutal... glad to hear the trees missed your house! We're looking forward to seeing your new sump plumbed in.

Thanks launchnukes! I could not imagine being without power for over a month. 2.5 days was more than enough for us, LOL.

Wow. Nice

Thanks for the compliment and for participating in our thread luxtralarge! :D

Thought we'd post a little sneek-peak of our new aquisitions:
