I think my milles are growing so much slower then the acros and other SPS in my tank.

I have a 180 gallon, with around 50-60 frags all over 1 inch and most around 3 inches now. Everything has been going great, great pe, but i cant seem to get my millepora to grow at the same rate as my other acros.

Is this normal or what do you guys do to help this?

My levels:
7-8 kalk
420-450 calc
mag havent tested in awhile
0 phosphates
0 nitrates

i feed three times a day, I also dose acropower.

the fish i have are 1 purple tang, 1 yellow tang, 1 powder blue tang, 1 blue eye kole tang, 1 juv emporer angelfish, 4 cariberryi anthias, 1 blue chromis, 1 firefish, 2 clownfish

please let me know what you guys think unless this is normal.

I find with Millie's that the need to encrust for a while and then explode. Every coral is different. In my experience, they do better in high flow

+1^ I had the same issue with my Millie's for the longest time. One frag literally encrusted 4 inches from its original base before it started branching. Looked more like an encrusting Montipora, but now has some nice low tabling branches 8 Mo later.

I have the same experience with my millis. Mine stayed the same for almost 2 years before I noticed any significant growth.

thanks everyone. I do notice them growing out the base a lot more then actually growing up or growing new branches.

also my lighting is 8x80 with 4 coral plus and 4 blue plus with 2 reefbrites
