Milli Growth

Just wanted to create a thread and track the progress of a milli that i picked up at a frag swap back in February. I feel like the growth is not great but ok, color i have been having issues with getting throughout the tank on a consistent basis. Sometimes itll get a really nice green and good PE but sometimes it takes a step back. One day I will get a real camera and not use my Note 2...

I believe this is February -

Early August -

And today -

I wanted to keep this thread as a log to try to track growth, hard to do without actually posting pictures.

Thanks all, yes, by far the fastest growing piece in the tank, makes everything else appear to be standing still...which I think a few actually are. Its a lot more green in person than what the crappy cell picture takes, but I am dealing with excessive nutrients at the same time.

Roughly another 3.5 months, growth has slowed some but i just realized i remounted it differently after the turbo knocked it off....

And a top down just to see some colors on the cell picture....

Thanks guys, the tank is pretty lackluster at the moment and dealing with some high nutrients at the moment, but I will try to snap a FTS later today after work.

Another 3 months down, looking at the previous pictures it seems as if this growth has slowed down, a bit fuller though. If anything, those digi's have started moving quite a bit. Kept meaning to cut that acrylic rod out, now its almost covered...oh well!

Think I'll start going 4-6 months at a time after this one....

So this poor chap has seen better days. Its been looking rough for a few weeks now, very little PE but had maintained its color but I just noticed some STN today. Ive made it a point in the past couple months to really hunker down and try to keep params as stable as possible, everything else appears to be doing very well.

For some time, I thought I had a high nutrient problem which was just the opposite. The only thing different I've done was feed more meaty items more often and added a couple more fish. Its only been 2 weeks and I'm already seeing colors on corals that I have never seen before (tri color acro that used to have tan branches and base is now getting purple) yet this milli is just getting worse.

Current Parameters:

SG - 1.025 (recently calibrated with new bottle)
Ph - 8.02-8.29 Apex
Alk - 8.12 (has not had a swing over .5 in 2 month) Hanna
Cal - 460 API
PO4 - 0.00 Hanna
NO3 - .5 Salifert

I'm still struggling to keep PO4 and NO3 up, but like I mentioned, I'm seeing much better color with just the extra feedings and turning off the skimmer (RO NWB 150)for a few hours a day.

Lighting has stayed the same, I stopped dosing Acropower but I've been using that for much longer than I've had this issue. The only thing I dose is Kalk via top off not enough to spike the ph.

Here's a crappy full tank shot at the moment as well...

Very nice Alten.

Thanks! Not sure why this particular one is having a fit, I see dead/bleached spots on multiple sections of it. Some on the base, some on various branches, and obviously the lack of PE. Thinking of starting to run some GAC in case something is going on.
