Min tank size for nano wave box

Many apols if this has been covered before, but I would like to set up a new nano with a nano wavebox providing the flow.

Could you give me the min dimensions for a nanotank I could run this wavebox on?

It will be fairly shallow as well so I need to know how high the wave will be.

THe tank size I am planning would be roughly 18 high, 15 wide and 24 inches long. I presume the max water depth for this tank given the wave effect wouldonly be 15 inches or so?

Many thanks

Matt

Matt, your tank is too short to run the nano wavebox. It will work but the result will not justify the cost... Your wave will be fast ...

Thats a shame, I just don`t have the time for a larger tank and I think it would be a waste running it on my frag tanks as nobodygets to see them. Thenano is the first thing you see as you walk through the dooe.

Really appreciate the quick response, will stick with the nanostream for now. Thanks for all the great products you make!

Cheers

Matt

I agree with Steve, while it could work on a tank as small as 24", I would personally use the Nano Wavebox only on a tank that was at least 30" long.

Thanks for the feedback.

Great responses and great products.

In the end I wne for two 6025 facing in opposite directions and angled forward from behind a slghtly off centre overflow. (All still in the build stage so will let you know how it goes).

On the frag tank, 24x12x15 high egg crate rack and softie frags (sinularia, discosomo, zoanthus) do you think a single 6025 would provide enough flow? This tank will take the overflow from the main show tank and will then flow into the sump with a turbofloater (sorry, love Tunze but these were on sale at half price!) and a chaeto fuge, before being pumped back via a chiller and UV to the main tank.

Many thanks

Matt
