googled... can't come up with pictures :\ good ones atleast a real smal picture of a green thing that looks like a ricordia

That's exactly what I was going to ask. Is it a baby carpet from someone's big carpet? Or just small ones like it says...?

yup when I lived a few miles from him..... the biggest I have seen is quarter size.....start with one within a few months many more.... little while later..... lots more.... and so on and so on........

Is there a downside other than they spread like crazy and can sting other corals? they look pretty cool

yes, I got mine from Gary.

they split regularly but don't get out of control. They don't sting other coral. Some sps are slightly irritated by them, but I have found them very compatible.
