Mini Carpet Nem Help

I have a Mini Carpet Nem that I have had for almost 2 years now and I am having an issue with some ball anemones that have appeared near it. I started with about 5 ball anemones that came from nowhere (Had tank for 6+ years now). I tried to rid the 5 anemones with Aptasia X about 6 months ago and since then they have multiplied to about 100+!!! They are everywhere. Now there are about 6 near my mini carpet and I don't know if they will start to sting it or if the mini carpet nem would be able to sting them back and kill them off. Anyone have any experience with this situation?

Thanks :headwally:

They are definitely ball nems. They have a pink base, are translucent with white balls at the end of their tentacles. The biggest is about 1.5" at night when spread out. I have no idea how they spread because I have not seen one reproduce through pedal laceration. They literally pop out of nothing so I am guessing they shoot spores or something??? I think they are also known as strawberry nems or condylactis. I also read that they are more closely related to mushrooms than nems so I don't really know how powerful their sting is. However, I have seen them engulf dwarf ceriths that pass by.

I will post a pic when I get a chance. May not be until the weekend.

However, my question is how do we get rid of them permanently? Using Aptasia X just made things worse. Weirdly enough, Aptasia X worked great on killing a dozen Aptasia and a green Majano that never came back.
