Mini Group Buy for ReeferMadness

i think it was round robin, with each turn getting 1 coral, instead of first 10, then next 10.. sounds like a pretty even way to split them up..

hey long, i may also be interested in ordering a fish (i know.. sorry, but no money to help with the frag pack) if it goes through too, and can pickup easy from oakland.

Haha. No worries. I might just go for the 20 + 2 on my own and see how it goes. If there isn't any interest, I'll probably do that on Monday and I'll add your stuff to it.

Can you guys/gals let me know how the order looks likes once fully aclimated in your tanks and finally fully colors up... I been looking at their corals online ( very nice ) after hearing other things made me hesitate and would rather hear first hand from people that get them.... thanks in advance

To add to the festivities, Chris has said on numerous occasion that absolutely he photoshops, but he does so because he's running 20kK lights with actinic supplimation (although his bulbs may have changed since last I saw), and he photoshops them to make them look like sees them on a particular LCD monitor. So if he is photohacking them, it's not intentional. But like most coral sellers they tend to have under lots of blues and actinics to make colors pop.

That all being said, lets not forget if you can take a polyp (zoanthid for instance) that's a centimeter across and take a picture with a macrolens at very high resolution, when you see that blown up 10-20 times the original size it's going to look a lot more impressive with all the detail :)

Eitherway, I wouldn't bash the guy, or stay away from his business, as much as I would any other online coral chop shop. If I was starting a new tank and wanted a bunch of frags (ie frag pack) RM would be near the top of the list of places I would order from.

That's why I am eager to find out from folks on this particular order on how there corals turn out since I DO like a bunch of his coral and his site and was just holding on to hear more from different folks prior to making my own order...:spin1:

i may be doing an order soon with eileen, so when that happens i can take a massive amounts of pictures and let you know my experience with them =)

this still up?

if you are doin it for zoas, lps and rics, does it allow you to choose your frags, or do you just kind of get whatever they send you

You can request some stuff, they let you, such as all zoas or some monti's and stuff like that

i might be up, depending on how fast my tank cycles...

If anyone is going to do an order and is close to the southbay or penninsula (I'm in Mountain View), I'd love to grab some Marshall Island Blue Knuckle Hermit Crabs, Indonesian Cone Trochus, and Bumble Bee Snails.

Anyone carry these locally?

Hey longlam. I am interested in this order you have going on. This is my first time doing this so if you may let me know in on the details. Thanks.

Bumble Bee Snails are meat eaters/predator, basically a Welk, and have no purpose in a reef tank.
