mini maxi

So I have had a purple mini maxi for about 3-4 months now. He was on a shell and in the same place since I put him in my tank. Yesterday he move off the shell and this morning he is up in the rocks. Took me a while to even find him. I do realize they move, but he is "hiding". Is this something I should be concerned about, or normal activity and he'll come back out when he wants to?

What kind of lighting? I have one that used to hate the light as strange as that sounds. It thrived for a long time in the shade, recently it has started to like more light. It was a light hater for well over a year so I know it wasn't any other stresses, just didn't like the bright light.

4x24w T5. Running when I put him in. I did, however, put new bulbs in 2 weeks ago.

I would bet that is it's issue. I would give it some time and maybe some food until it adjusts again.

Well, he only hid for about a day and half. Came back out on same side of rock, just back a bit. Looks good.

I have three, one wandered off the anemone rock a few months back. They'll stay in one place most of the time, but a little bit of movement isn't a big deal, as long as its still attaching. It's the foot health and color/bleaching you really have to watching for, I think.
Mine probably wished it hadn't moved though-I took the chance while it wasn't perma-bonded to the rocks to clone it

mini carpets are very tough anemones. almost impossible to kill. mine was gone for months before resurfacing recently. loves to eat Mysis.

He moved again last night. He's now on the other side of the rock. Foot is attached and he looks healthy.
