Asterina starfish are nothing to worry about. They are as good as bristleworms at cleaning up, but still do a good job as detritus feeders. And even if you wanted to get rid of them, you'd have a tough time finding them all.

Another benefit is that you can use them as a constant food supply for harlequin shrimp. Just house the shrimp in a seperate tank and pop the stars in.
