minifloter on 30 gallon?

I am currently using a turbofloter on my 45gallon reef, and have a freind who is setting up a 30 gallon. He asked me for some suggestions, i wasnt sure if the turbofloter would over skim a smaller tank like that, so i suggested a aqua c remora. But he asked me about the minifloter since it seemed more suitable for his set up. he will have a 12gallon sump. If anyone has any info on the minifloter that would be appreciated, or any reviews. I couldnt seem to find much about them on the web.
