Right now I have a mag 12 return and a Iwaki 70 pump. I'm thinking about down grading the Iwaki pump to something more efficient and quieter. What's the minimal I can go? I have an SPS dominant tank with some softies on the bottom near the sand and what not.
The Iwaki is on a closed loop with a super squirt @ the moment. Rated @ 1500gph @ 4ft. Will I be ok if I down that to about 1000-1200gph @ 4ft on another pump?
My next option is to up it to a dart but 3600 GPH in a 48x24x20 tank will probably break all the SPS in the tank. :eek1:
