minimum size clam for 250W XM 20k

I want to get a few clams (Crocea and Maxima) but i want to know what the minium size should be for a 29G tank with a 250W 20k XM bulb. I want to keep feedings down to a minimal level. I really dont want it to be a chore to keep one,

anyways what size : ) ?

My Maxima was a tad under 2" in my 90. I have 10k HQI lights and he is a few inches off the bottom. I never feed phyto any more and he is growing. A couple months later he is probably 2.5". I am not saying to do that but it might be okay to add a 2" and work him slowly to the top under 20K. I am debating moving mine up to see if his colors get better or he grows faster, but then you lose the top down view.
