To anyone who has dealt with Miracles in Canada. I am looking to get a rimless tank built by them but have had no luck getting Derek on the phone. Apparently he is the only one who can give a price quote? I called 3 times and left a message twice with no call back. Today a lady told me I might be better off calling back on Monday. Just wanted to know if I'm the only one..

I have a Miracles aquarium on order. Didn't have much trouble getting the order in, but it seems Derek is very busy. I rarely got him when I called.

Also my tank should have shipped three weeks ago. I was told 6 weeks when I ordered and am on week nine now and really don't know when it is shipping. Hope its worth the wait.

They asked me to send a written request for quote. Derek got back to me in 48 hrs.

Their tanks are good quality usually, but I find them VERY overpriced and difficult to get a hold of. Your experience is par for the course.

didn't a bunch of people got hit with a huge tax bill for buying tank from miracles? they report sales to U.S. and the state collects the tax.

i hear nothing but good things about them but this is a pia. any other places u guys reccomend to go?

I also got a quote from CTC. Their tank price was higher but not by too much, but the price for the stand and extras was much higher. I read some good reviews about them and the tanks on their website look great.

as far as calling for a price quote, it is best to get it via email. i think all builders prefer this. i've gotten several quotes from Miracles and it is usually within 1-2 days. The one time i did call to place my order, I got Derek on the first try.

as far as pricing goes, the only place that was cheaper than Miracles was GC, and that was only about $100 less. LeeMar would not ship, but I think LeeMar's might be slightly less too.

+/-100 bucks is really nothing when it comes to a custom tank.
