I've had 4 fish in QT(55gal filled about half way)for about 2 weeks. 2 Banggai Cardinals, a scooter Blenny and a Square back Anthias. All was going fine until today one of the cardinals was gone. Totally gone. No carcass or anything. It would have had to jump over 10 inches to leave the tank. Could it have died and been eaten in less than 24 hours? Could the Anthias have killed and eaten it? I haven't seen any signs of aggression from it. The Cardinals had been looking great! I hate loosing fish.
