Missing Canary Wrasse- How long will the bury themselves?

Hello,

I bought a canary wrasse 4 days ago... it was swimming around the first day...seemed OK. I haven't seen it the last 3 days...

I've read wrasses will get spooked and will bury themselves for prolonged periods, but I feel like I should have seen it by now.

I do not have a top on my tank, so I see that as a possibilty but I have't found a body anywhere. I've looked high and low, in the overflow box, the sump.

I only have one other fish (4" Purple Tang) that isn't overly aggressive.

Where is my wrasse?

Yeah I just feel like I would have made a sighting by now...

I like Wrasses, but one of the reason I dont have now because they always mass around with the sand, and blow lotz of sand over my corals, since my tank is tiny, I dont have much sand bed left for the Wrasses , corals all over the sand

ive had wrasses stay hidden for 2 weeks+ ....give it time to come out on its own, no snooping around-hell just stay hidden longer
