Missing scales on wrasse

I just purchased 6 wrasses and two of them seems to have some missing scales. I normally give all new fish a dip in Formalin before going into QT for ttm.. I was wondering should i forego the formalin dip on that particular fishes that are missing scales?

I would skip the formalin dip on the ones missing the scales. Any sores on a fish will equal bad things with formalin

Yeah, that's what I did. I gave a 20 min formalin bath to the black leopard wrasse, 2x yellow Coris wrasse, and Midas Blenny. I ended up just dropping the lubbocks and flasher wrasse into the qt. Only the lubbocks wrasse hasn't ate and has been hanging in the corner between the Tupperware of sand and tank glass. He will move once and a while and stay put. Is there any particular signs of infection from the missing scales I should be looking for? I have Furan-2 but I didn't want to stress him out more by trying to move him into a HT.
