Missing six-line wrasse

My favorite six line is completely missing... no dry body around the tank and stand/ in the overflow/ his usual hiding spots. I just saw him yesterday, and he always comes out when I feed the tank.
I didn't see him at all today. It's a small 30g cube, so there aren't very many places to be hiding.

I'm so sad. I hope he didn't die and get eaten by snails.. He looked very healthy yesterday too...

Yeah... that's what I'm afraid of...
I hope he'll magically come out tomorrow.

best wishes, i have been pretty lucky with mine... i have hed him for 3 years and he is one of my fav's. He has jumped to the overflow several times and i have had to take him out... what a pain. He knows that there are tons of pods back there and when he is hungry sure enough there he goes... it has been a while since the last time he has done this and what i am scared of is when will it be his last he cant make em all `can he... hopefully i will not have to make that thread...

Miraculously, the wrasse showed up after being missing for 4-5 days.
He's doing fine, and he has been very active.

I have had my 6 line for a year and had the same problem a couple days ago. I was pretty worried as he was never shy. Recently he started tempting the 4 BTA's in the tank and I thought of the possibility of getting swallowed by one of the larger ones. He also was swimming up the overflow box on the return side from my HOB skimmer. There was a pump uncovered as I recently took off the filter screen. Sure enough my 6 line was trapped in the pump. A sad story and a learning experience for sure. This wrasse was so curious. I guess his curiosity got the best of him with a little help from my own stupidity.
