Missing Wrasse - Sleep/Wake cycles?

I just got a Dotted Fairy Wrasse, and he was doing fine yesterday. He was cruising the tank, eating mysis and getting along fine with my other fish. My tank top is completely covered with eggcrate.

The LFS where he came from closes at 7 pm, and that is when they turn off thier lights. He was there for at least 3 weeks.

My lights come on at 12:00 PM and go off at 12:00 AM since I work and want to look at the tank while I am at home.

Last night he was nowhere to be found. Could he have been still on the sleep cycle from the store? I'm a bit nervous about this.

Has anyone seen anything like this? Thanks.

Jamie

My Iridis Wrasse stayed in the sand till 3 pm the day after I got him. He also went to bed early , around 6 pm
As time went by, he spent more time out of the sand
Just give your Wrasse some time

Thank you for the info.

I certainly hope that is what it is. He is such an awesome fish, I haven't seen one like him before.

Anyone have experience with Fairies doing this?

I had a red coris who was on his own schedule for sure. Once I didn't see him for almost a week. I wouldn't be worried yet as your fish is still adjusting to his new home and probably just needs some time.
