Im looking into buying the GHL Mitras LX6100HV for my RSM 250, I am not sure if I should get one or two units to hang over the tank? Currently using Razor 420R, 160w 16k..

Here`s the dimensions - 960 x 552 x 665 mm (38 x 21 x 26.2") What do U think ?

Best regards Kenneth

If you have that good of a deal in front of you, you should get 2 fixtures. Having two will be enough to have SPS anywhere in the tank.

Thx, talked to Allen at ReefBytes and I found out it was a no-brainer pretty quick..

Getting the lights tomorrow =) =)

So the lights are up and hanging, I love em already!! Turned the max power down to 50% and intensity running at max 60%. Gotta monitor the corals and how they react, found a project called Aaron's on some site and currently trying it out with the % above. The lights is 20 cm over the tank.

Anything you Mitras owners wanna fill in, please do :)

Before I tweaked the lights

50% should be a good starting point. Just keep an eye on your coral and make sure they don't starting getting pale.

With 2 of them turned that way, U can run a frag tank in front of the main tank and lighting will still cover it. LOL

ROFL, dont U put such thoughts into my head :D

But jokes aside, should they be sideways? I didnt try that before hanging em up there.

I`m really liking this light!!

Hey, and thanks for asking.

I just cranked the power up too 60% yesterday, run a project that also peaks at 60% intensity atm, gonna run it like this for a month if the corals react good to it.
