I'm having to add additional calcium and baking soda to my tank right now. I was wondering, would it make sense to just mix some regular baking soda with baked to cancel out the PH altering effects?
You can use a mixture of 85% baking soda and 15% baked baking soda, but I'd just use plain baking soda because it's easier and the pH effect is tiny and disappears quickly with aeration. You might see a change of 0.06 in the pH reading with plain baking soda, for a few hours at most.
