I'm thinking about purchasing a grip for my 5D mkII before I head to Hawaii.
Can I use a Canon battery that came with the camera along with a Opteka battery in the grip? The Canon battery is rated at 1800mAh and the Opteka is 2400mAh. The Opteka is totally compatible with the camera on it's own, but I'm just wondering if it would cause problems being paired with a lower mAh battery.
It would be cheaper for me to buy TWO of the offbrand batteries than to buy one of the Canon brand, so if you guys think it will cause damage or problems to run with both, I'll probably just buy two off brand and try it out.
In the end, we arent talking about much money either way, but every $20 saved gets put towards a new lens
