Occasionally some hobbyists have been able to get away with mixing species, but the great majority of cases, it can be problematic mixing even same species from different breeding sources.

Do you know what type of species you are planning to mix? I personally mix Reidi and erectus, however all of mine are from good cb sources.

I have tiger tail now and getting a second.... BUT we are moving to a larger 36 gallon coral...

and thinking about getting a couple erectur or reidi

Tigertail? Were they from a US breeder or one of the cheap ones from the LFS? If it was one of those from the LFS and not from a US breeder I would be careful. I've never had good luck with those. Even just mixing LFS tiger tail with US Breed Tigertail caused problems for me. I would proceed with caution.

bacterial, viral, sudden lost of appetite, etc. Not fighting tho, I've never really witnessed seahorses fight.

The genre is a hippocampus comes... he was a rescue from a 350 gallon tank that was being taken down...

he readily eats frozen mysis

so I have no idea of his heritage
