mixing euphyllia genuses

I'm sure it's ok for hammers to be next to hammers, but I had my torch placed next to my hammer, and although the hammer was extended and the two corals were both touching, one of the heads of the torch remained not fully extended. Eventually, when I noticed it was releasing some brown gloop, I seperated it and moved it.

So it appears that hammers and torches shouldn't be close to each other? How would frogspawn fare?

I seem to remember Torch's being the odd man out in the Euphylia group. It doesn't seem to play nice like the others do. I think Hammers, Frogspawns, Anchors, etc, are ok, but torches need more room.
