Mixing GFO and carbon

Got a heck of a deal on a Phosban reactor. Can I put both in the same reactor.? What ratio works best.? And should it be packed tighter like if using just carbon.?

I run both in the same reactor. I had them mixed together until a reefer smarter than me suggested that I seperate them with an extra sponge pad.

As far as amounts, I just follow the directions.
