Does anyone know if it is okay to mix different brands of salt in the same tank?

Are you changing to a different salt brand for good, or just wanting to mix salts?

I'm changing brands at least for a while. I found a good deal on a guy who is getting rid of some salt. Eventually I will probably go back to my original brand.

It depends on the brands. IO and Reef Crystals are made by the same company and are essentially the same salt. You mix across companies there is a possibility for reaction. It all depends on the items used to build the salt mixture.

50/50 IO oceanic is a mix quite a few reefkeeper do on purpose.

Mixing salts while changing brands seem better than switching chemistries cold turkey.

I'm actually looking to mix Reef Crystals and Coralife Marine Salt. Keep in mind that my tank is a fish only with one anemone.

I believe these are similar mixes. I switched from Coralife to reef crystals withot issue in the past. They both are high calcium and magnesium salts.

Ok, I'm going to give it a try. Now I just need to figure out how to get 300 gallons of water prepared by next Saturday. The water takes a looong time to warm up and I only have enough containers for 140 gallons. Ack!
