Mixing Tangs

What wold you say my chances are of keeping A Powder Brown and a Powder Blue in a 180 gallon tank. I already have the Brown but saw a really nice Powder Blue in an LFS, which is slightly bigger than the brown. Opinions please

I just added a tomini tang to a just sat up 120G that had a powder brown in it for about a day. Didn't go well for the tomini. The powder brown was removed (hassle, big time) as the tomini was looking poor. I think, like wrasses, that over a certain amount of time they can get to a point where they tolerate each other...this is how my other tangs and wrasses have worked out in the past. A rough couple first days, but it settles down after that.

I would remove your powder brown for a couple weeks, and reintroduce him into the tank at the same time with the powder blue, It worked for me! (unfortunately my powders got Ich and died)

PBTs can be VERY aggressive and EVIL, especially towards Con specific fish, which a Powder Brown is. In fact, PBTs are usually considered one of the most aggressive Tangs, along with a couple others. With some other Tangs, you'd have better odds. I wouldn't put any odds on this being a successful match up though.

I think your just leaving yourself open to ich outbrakes. if the powder brown is doing well I wouldn't add anything. otherwise you're gonna have to make a choice what one you want more.

I don't think you will have a problem as long as there are some dither fish to separate the two.
