Mixing water for water changes

I dont have an RO/DI system. Should I just trust my LFS saltwater? Is there anything I should be made aware of when not mixing my own saltwater?

If they're giving you Rodi water to mix with I'd be ok with that. No way I take saltwater they've run through their system though. Best to mix your own imo

Why is that?

You don't know what their system has in it. It could have all kinds of diseases. That's why you never add store water to your tank when introducing fish

A lot of LFS have huge tanks they mix their saltwater in that are not part of the fish system. Sure they can feed to them when they do water changes but the fresh mix is separate. I would have no problem buying mixed saltwater from them. Just have them show you where and how they mix it, also what sg do they mix to.

They have the SG posted on a white board every day so I guess that is a good sign they are testing it.
