mixing water in plastic storage tote

Would it be safe to mix my water in a plastic tote like from wal-mart?

I've done it several types with no ill effects. Just make sure that you rinse it several times before you make your salt water.

Perfectly fine. I use them for moving my tanks water and rock as well during moves or if I need to take a lot of water/rock out of the tank. They are also commonly used as sumps. Rubbermade and steralite both work. You just want to make sure it will stand up to the use it will take. I know use a 32g rubbermade trash can on wheels that I bought 3 of to help move my 125g and not have to loose any water.

I've had a 32gal sterlite from walmart split when holding water... it only happened on one of 3 that I use. Might be safe to double them up if they will be holding water for a long time
