MJ 900 or equivalent

Hello everyone, I recently upgraded my stock BC 12 pump to the MJ 900, but for whatever reason, I'm not getting sufficient power out of it. At it's max, it is keeping the water in my display maybe 2 centimeters below the lip of my hood, which is no good.

I'm wondering if anyone has a used MJ 900 or a pump with similar output they would be willing to sell or even donate.

How many vertical feet is it pumping water up? It says it will only handle 46" of head so that may be why you are not getting the flow you want.

12 inches, if that, it';s in the back chamber of a Biocube 12. :/
