MJ mod help needed..

I have done 2 of my MJ1200 with the kits from reefchili.com
i followed the instructions and inserted the stop pin, and my props spin the wrong way 1/2 of the time, anyone know about how to fix this?this ?

When it's spinning the wrong way it should hit the stop pin and pust forward spinning the other direction.

I had the same problem I didn't have the stop pin in the right place, I had to drill another hole to reposition it.

which way did you move the stop pin closer or farther away?
is it supposed to hit the prop or hit the shaft the prop is on?approx how far from the prop is the stop placed?

Look at the prop and look at the placement of the pin. You only want the prop to hit the pin if it's spinning the wrong direction so in other words the prop should spin freely the correct way and tap the pin if it's spinning the wrong way. I don't think I'm explaining myself well.

yznhmr - Are you using them on a wave maker? Keep in mind the stop pin will chew up the prop after a while. It is best to just start them up and run them constantly.

You either don't have stop in far enough or, most likely, too low on the cap.

i got it fixed, i now understand what was wrong.. the pin was in too far...

dr j is right tho... i am on a wavemaker.. will note the longetivity of the prop before it is desroyed...
i like the effect i am getting them on chan 1&3 on the wave strip thing, as powerfull as these are now it kinda like a surge when they come in my 55 gal prop tank..
