Modded MJ1200 VS Seio m1100

I just decided to see for myself just how powerful the modded MJ1200 is compared to similar sized water movement devices. I didn't do anything scientific.

I filled a 2 gallon tub with water and stuck each pump in individually. Boy was I surprised. The MJ1200 blew away the Seio M1100. The Seio did not have the water diverter on the end, just the housing that covers the prop.

I would guess the MJ1200 moved more than twice the water and the turbulence was even more varied. I am sold on the modded Maxi jet powerheads.

Thanks for the info Russ. I am upgrading and am contemplating using some of these so I can spend more on my tank rather than tunze etc.

i just got my ocean flo kit it, i cant wait to see what it does. i've read on forum's that it is a little better than the mj's. i dont know how or why, i just liked the waranty they offered. It took me about 6 weeks to get it due to being back ordered, so evidentally they must be pretty good.

by the way the come with brackets and are already pretty much assebled, you just have to take the shaft out of your maxi and put this one in. less than 5 minutes to install.
