COMAS Rocks!
I recently performed the bio-ball mod on my Seaclone 150, thought I would share the results....Honestly, I have yet to notice a difference in the amount of skimmate I get. I get a more consistant skim throughout the day, while before it would fill up early in the day and towards the evening time slow to nothing, and I'd have to empty and clean the cup. Now it steadily skims all day long, but I still get the same amount. No biggie, I like it this way better.
Also, just Modded my first MJ1200, using the low-flow mod (1500gph) Well, I guess the best way to describe these results would be this: I have a 6 line wrasse in my tank, the little guy is all over the rocks, darting in and out all the time. I don't think he saw me put the new power head in and turn it on, cause afterwards (a few minutes have past) He came running out from his rockwork and got caught in the current....SLAM!!! flew across the tank and into the glass on the opposite side. Looked kinda stunned for a minute and proceded to stay in front of the powerhead swimming away. No permanent damage done to him, but I really don't think he saw it coming, lol. I actually turned off the other 3 powerhead sources and this one mod pushes almost too much current for my selection of corals. I'm very happy. Plus I got the ball-joint magnet holder for it, Highly recommend the extra money for one of these babies!
