What is the best way to get rid of Mojanos. I have a 90 gal infested with them. Are there any butterfly fish that will eat them and leave the rest of my softies and polyps alone?

i don't know of anything that will eat mojanos, aptasia, yes, but not mojanos to my knowledge. The way I get rid of mine is inject into the mouth with either white vinegar or just hot water. Both will do the trick.

I would inject them but, the tank has 2 or 3 thousand of them in it. I did not know what they were at first, and liked the small patch I had growing in the tank. Thats untill they started to take over the whole tank. Silly me.

Try a copperband butterfly fish. They are reported to be quite effective against aptasia also. Careful though, Their diet also includes zoanthids, muxhrooms and anything else they decide looks tasty.

I'm gonna take a hypordermic needle and inject mine with vinegar. I just got the needles today and will inject them tonight. I will keep u advised on the progress....I hope it works. I have 10 of them on 1 rock that surround my rbta. Im gonna remove the rock and put it in a large clear tupperware container filled with tank water. Ill inject them and see what happens.....They wont be able to spread in this container..I will then put the treated rock back in my tank after all have died.

I am told pepermint shrimp work. In fact I just added some to my tank to rid these. I would be careful with the racoon as They will eat all your coral as well

I had lfs order me a copper banded butterfly. I should get it thurs. I hope it turns out to be a good citizen. If not I guess I will let him rid my tank of majanos, and then find it another good home.

the copperbands do eat aptasia, however once those are gone the copperband may starve. Before you bring home the copperband, make sure it is eating mysis. Mysis is the only other thing i have seen them eat. Mine would not eat cyclopeese, brine,or any flake...nothing but aptasia and mysis. Also copperbands are often captured with cynide, so again before you rush home with the copperband, check the feeding and health
