Monkey Shrimp- add another or replace?

I have 1 Monkey shrimp who mostly stays to himself and gets pushed around by the 2 skunk shrimp during feeding. The Monkey shrimp almost never gets to eat any of the pellets, he's either too slow or just doesn't move to get them. Sometimes wonder how he's managed to survive for 1-2 years. He also spends most of his time hiding or being pretty subdued.

My question is if I get another Monkey Shripm will the behavior of the pair of Monkey shrimp be more outgoing (i.e. won't hide in rocks as much, will be more aggressive during feeding)? I'm thinking of either get another one to make a pair, or replace the Monkey shrimp with a pair of 'cooler' looking shrimp like the Fire Shrimp or a Pistol Shrimp. Suggestions?

IMO. Monkey shrimp or Saron shrimp do like to be kept in groups and have plenty of rockwork to hide in. I'm not sure but i think most are nocturnal, and they are not known for being totally reef safe.
