Thanks shullat. Hopefully I can get these lil' ones to grow and spread them around the country ;)

Well you'll have to spread them a bit further....Saudi Arabia. Can be done right, should I place my order now. By the time they reach here they'll be full grown colonies :D

!

Let me guess, I wont be needing any heat pads.

Well it does get chilly during the long two week winter season we have here (90 °F).

There are only two seasons here hot and oven-hot (130 °F). But then on a brighter side we do get rain two to three days a year.

On May 13th I reported that my bicolor blenny had been missing for 1 week.

A few days ago I found him in my overflow. That's 11 weeks missing.

To answer your thoughts; yes, I checked the overflow months ago. I checked there many times. I pulled most of the plumbing out, I used mirrors and flash lights. I checked everywhere I could and I could find him no where. I checked for days because I couldnt stop thinking about him, and eventually I just stopped checking.

Then a few days ago I was underneath the tank getting ready for a water change when I saw a tail flip. I was shocked. I was appreciating the bottom of the overflow and thinking to myself, "boy, you sure have done a good job with the nutrient control, because that overflow is really clean". Brutus (the blenny) had been keeping it clean.

So for 2 months and 3 weeks he lived in the overflow. I dont know how. When i feed the tank, I turn off the pump until the food's eaten (couple minutes). When I took him out, he wasnt skinny or boney. He wasnt fat, but i couldnt see any ribs or a concave stomach.

Now he is my sump. The problem is, he's not the same fish.

Back in the day, Brutus would leave his hole and swim in front of the glass for me whenever I approached. He wasn't afraid and always was out. Now he is terrorized constantly.

I observed him for 30 minutes and saw behavior I dont even see from fish at the fish store. I sat in front of the sump and didnt move. We stared at each other both motionless for those 30 minutes. Those 3 months must have been very traumatic for him because I have never seen a fish act so "wild" (as crazy as this all sounds..).

I dont feel comfortable putting him back into my tank, now. While before he would occaisionally nip at my digitas, he otherwise left my other SPS a lone and my clam a lone. He was also a model citizen with other fish, never ever attacking and only defending himself from harm. I am afraid that I no longer have the same fish.

I gave him a dark PVC pipe to stay in and last night he took to it, finally. I am hoping it calms some of his behavior. I cant leave him in the sump, however. My baffles are wide and unprotected. He has already gotten into them 3 times despite my eggcratre and I am afraid he will get himself into one of my pumps while down there. My sump is barren with just 1 piece of rock w/ xenia in it, so it isnt much of a habitat for him.

I may try to find a good home for him, but I feel this entire incident has been very cruel on both of us. Brutus was my favorite fish and I was so heart broken to lose him, but now that he is back, the tank has progressed and changed, and so has he.

You seem to be a very sincere caregiver. I hope whatever decision you go with will be the right one.

I like that pic of Brutus, very cool! I know how you feel about putting a fish of the past into a present tank. The problems you might face would stink and at that same token with him being skittish catching him would be a nightmare! Good luck in your decision Carlos!

Now I know you have some rad new coral shots that aren't getting their 15 minutes on this thread... let's get to posting those pics!! :P
