This guy is huge - that is a full grown maroon in there. I am trying fo figure out why it will not split. Anyone have anything similarly sized, or should I claim the record
Nice size. Mine split when it was about 3/4 your size. And one of the clones split again, so now I have 3. Mine started to show signs of splitting after feeding it and doing a water change the day after.
Stress induces splitting, but too much stress induces death. Be careful if you actually want it to split, because usually splits occur due to param swings. Is it a clone or is it wild caught? Clones are more likely to split also.
Here are three of my largest roses. For a size reference, you can just see a 5" Maroon clown in the bottom middle of the photo. The diameter of oral disc of the largest anemone is just about two feet. Including the tentacles, it'd be over three.
These are larger than their sibling shown in this thread. That one just split into three recently, more than three years after it was put in that tank, shortly after a light was replaced over it and a large water change was done.
it looks healthy and it may grow larger before it splits . a lfs (the hidden reef) had one for at least a year maybe two (don't remember), which was large and didn't split .
i've had a rbta clone which would often grow to @18"-20" within a year before splitting .
