Montepora Undata growth

just took a new picture of my Montepora Undata and decided to compare it to the original picture

I have no idea if this is average growth, more, or less then normal, but I'm happy with it.

Looks like nice growth to me, and the color is stunning! Mine has more of a blueish hue on the rim. What sort of lighting is this under?

Mine has done about this well as far as growth in about four months time. Your colors are excellent. Well done.

I don't have this species, but My montis can grow at that rate too. Some a little faster like my rainbow, some a little slower, like a stubborn Idaho Grape I have.

Nice looking piece, if you ever frag it I'd love a specimine.

the pictures represent about 10 months of growth

the Undata is one of my slower growing monteporas; my Leng sy and sunset (and other encrusting) grow about 3-4 times faster then my Undata shown above. For example here is my sunset monte in Sep 09 - it was almost dead

Aug 09 - a month later recovering

and a video from Mar, or 7 months later ( i dont have a recent picture of the entire colony) but you can see that it has grown quite a bit.

the sunset dates are:
near dead looking ---> Aug 2010
recovering ---> Sep 2010
video ---> Mar 2011

no issues so far
it's about 6" below the undata and there is a very strong flow between them
