Monti cap bleaching...

I have 2 monticaps..on either side of my tank. Both below MH's. Suddenly the large one (red..FWIW) is bleaching. Not all the layers, (leaves?) but in the back, one by one they are bleaching. Monti is 1 year old, 6" across...this is sudden and I would think not a result of water parameters, since the small green one on the other side is fine. Temp has been running a little high (82-83) but other than that everything is WNL..Any thoughts?? 3 days, and five "leaves" dead....and counting.:(

Can you take it out and look at it. Perhaps a pest. Then could be temp but Id say 84 starts the getting too warm alert. I would frag back to the healthy area and see if that helps. Whats behind it? Not enough flow in that area? I just started loosing the undersides of a hot pink poc. I finally saw the culprit yesterday. A baby starfish in between the nubs, so to speak. He was banned from the tank forever.

thanks...circulation is probably it...I readirected a maxijet....a layer of "flesh/film" flew off several leaves... should I trim bleached portions or leave them for a while (pun un-inteded;) ?
