Monti Cap Help

Hi all,

I've had this Monti on the top right of my tank and the majority of it is white but the tips are all a nice red. Any suggestions on what this could possibly be? There's an anemone right next to it which may sting it from time to time so not sure if the stress from that is causing it? Either way for some reason I've never been successful keeping Monti's.

Thanks in advance!

All that other white area is dead. Have you checked for pests like monti eating nudibranch? What other coral do you keep? Is your system completely stable? Have enough and proper light? What is you ALK, Cal, and Mag levels?

My tank info is as follows:

Skimmer
Phosphan Reactor
Kessil A160 Tuna Blue Lighting on Controller

Paramaters
Salinity: 1.024
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0
Ammonia: 0
Phosphates: <.25
DkH: 11
Calcium: 440ppm
Magnesium:Low at 990ppm raising to 1300

See attached pics for what's currently in my tank. When I first got the monti it was on the bottom left and started to fade so I brought it up to the top closer to the light. It seems to be growing on the outer edges but everything else is turning white, it's been like that for quite sometime like it wants to come back but no luck. It's also encrusting on the rock above as you can kind of see from the first picture on my original post.

Could simply be the aiptasia stinging the coral. Did you check for those pest? Nudis? They are small and white but visible.
