monti show off

All these monti pictures & not a single one of a Leng sy cap? I believe it's the only monti that has white polyps.

C'mon someone post one for old time sakes............... this was "the" cap to own at one time. I remember the huge arguements over lineage when wild ones were coming in. Of course it was a weed like most caps, & soon everyone had it. It seems to have disappeared of late.

I have an orange monti cap with white polyps

and Leng Sy (from a Bay Area swap, supposed to be the real deal- hasn't ever grown nodules though)

and a couple of cool monti verrucosa. The one on the left is the one Upscales has, on the right is the Bloody Mary

Love the setosa. Any info on light and flow it likes? Got a well colored frag that just would not grow since 1 year now.

Thank you. I use T5 (ATI Sunpower 6x80w). The Setosa is located in the middle of the tank, medium/high light and medium flow. It took me a couple of months to get the color it have now.

Thanks, ros sco............I remember those debates on whether the nodules were from different flows or if it was specific to "the" Leng sy.

LE Tyree M. setosa (has always been more pink than orange in my tank):

They will tolerate each other and attempt to out maneuver. Ends up being pretty cool. Eventually you will have to intervene to keep one from dominating the others.
