As a reef keeper, the tuft of algae in this shot is highly irritating and even somewhat embarassing to me. However, as a photographer, I like the spot of contrasting color and texture it provides. Another Mystic Intrigue Montipora shot.

Very nice Ken. I truly understand you being irritated by your tuft of algae, but yes, it does add quite a bit of interest. Being it is part of the focus point helps also.

Let me add my little tuft. When I started the tank I have now, I added a few turbo snails. It's been around 8 years and one has survived the years of carnage in the tank. He's been around so long the wife has even given him a name. Bob Marley!!! :lol:
