every time i get one they slowly fade out.. all my other SPS look great.. it slowly happens, not rite away, they slowly turn almost like a faded or whitish color then nothing(from a bright orangish pinkinsh, o green) they have great PE for a week or week and a half.. they all have come from the same lighting as mine..cal 450, alk 9, phos 0, ni 0, no 0 amm 0 mg 1350.. salinity 1.025..like i said everything else looks great, its not nudi damage as the just slowly fade out..

Are you putting them in the same(general depth) as the first tank? What is your lighting? You say same lighting does that mean the same bulb ballast combo?

they come from up high about 6 inches from the surface(from original aqaurium) has a 250 SE 14K Ham, electronic ballast, i put them about 16-18 inches from surface i run 250SE 14K Ham on magnetic ballast..

The magnetic is going to push the hamilton bulba little brighter then the electronic will. That might be the problem but the different depth should account for that I think. Might beed to move it further down if possible or to the side were it may not be a intense.

can it recover from fading out?? it was a very intense orange/pink, now its faded out, but still has very little PE.. they are there i can see them..can it get that intense color back again??

yes I suppose they could regain their color, but it will take a WHILE!...

whenever you get these more sensitive SPS corals put the on the very bottom, no matter WHAT lighting they where under before...

start them of on the bottom sides or in a bit of shade and let them adjust very slowly untill you get them where you want them.

Digis are bad about lighting that way for some reason...

good luck!
