I have a standard 29 nano tank that's about 4 days old all the LR is from my established 400g tank so 100% cured I'm running a 250w mh right now I have 4 corals 3 Acros and 1 monti the Acros are doing great but the monti is losing tissue

Might be a light shock 250 on a 29 nano is alot of light
monitpora seem to like moderate light at least mine due

The monti was in the 400 and it has 400w mh so not a light shock and the water is not from the 400 it's just some ro with salt

Did you inspect the monti to make sure there is not a parasite such as a nudibranch eating it? Also I have noticed with my montis when the tank got to warm last summer they lost color.

it has no parasites it saw it get fraged off a very large and healthy colony and was in my big tank for about a week and did great i added it last night and this morning it had the tissue loss the weird thing is the rest of the frag has full polyp extension

Could just be stress from fragging and being moved to a new tank. I will find that with cut frags the healing ends are more sensitive. By the way our you a member of the PNWMAS the local hobby forum? Just curious.
