Montipora Love.

could not found anything aequitubeerculata in google? :hmm2:

The name comes from Verons COTW but the misspelling comes from me. The correct spelling is Aequituberculata. I have also seen the coral offered online spelled without the beginning 'A'...not that I'm casting stones, of course.

UWW sunburst monti...this is the full colony pic (I only have a frag..but by far the coolest monti I have ever seen!)
UWWsunburstrainbowmonti.jpg

I also have sunset monti, but no pictures

Where can a guy get a frag of this awesome monti????

In reply to where to get that sunburst monti...I got it from Underwaterworld. The picture is the one they posted...not mine...I have a frag. So far, my frag is green base, orange polyp with a blue/purple growth edge. Still waiting for the base color change. Is it a lucky color morph from bleaching???? I'm still waiting to see. The picture was worth posting because it truly is the coolest monti I have ever seen. I hope my frag colors up. It took 6 months to settle in and has since started to really take off. I will update....

That is a nice Undata. How much light you giving that bad boy??

Also the second monti. I have the same one. It was falsely sold as a sunset monti. Its a nice one though....almost brighter then the real sunset but the polyps are'nt as nice. I was on someones website that had the same coral and they were calling it "the poor mans sunset". Sounds like a good name to me.

Geez, when? In the 1960's? :eek1:
Hahaha 64Ivy. Its about 1.5-2yers old. The cap sits in the left side of my 120
and has stole light from about 2 acros killing them. I have notice that this cap LOVES high light. High light that some of my acros can't even take. Still deciding if I am going to part with it. Need some room for some prime real estate.

Sorry for the bad pic. Wify had the camera and while I was doing a water change decided to take a quick shot with the iphone.

Going to try to grab a pic of another monti that I have later tonight to share. I have not seen this one posted yet.

some of my monti's. A rainbow, undata, superman, sunset

Montipora orenji

Montipora orenji

This is a piece like no other. It is one of the brightest orange monti's that I have ever seen. Maybe the colors pop because of the color contrast to the Lime in the Sky?

Once again I apologize for the crappy pics. I tried using the wife's camera, but man does it come out so BLUE. One of these days a DSLR should be in my hands, but sorry to say these pics are taken from my iphone.
